Civil Engineer – Renewable Energy

Role Overview:

Our client, a global renewable energy developer, is seeking a Civil Engineer to support the design, planning, and execution of infrastructure for utility-scale renewable energy projects. This role is essential in ensuring the structural integrity, environmental compliance, and cost-efficiency of civil works across diverse geographies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and review civil and structural components of renewable energy projects (e.g., foundations, access roads, drainage, substations)
  • Conduct site assessments, geotechnical evaluations, and topographical surveys
  • Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and tender documentation
  • Oversee civil construction activities and ensure compliance with design and safety standards
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, environmental, and project managers
  • Support permitting and regulatory submissions with civil engineering inputs

Essential Experience:

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in infrastructure or renewable energy projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD.Pro, or similar design tools
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and geotechnical principles
  • Familiarity with local and international building codes and standards

Desirable:

  • Experience with offshore wind foundations or floating solar
  • Chartered Engineer status (e.g., CEng, PE)
  • Knowledge of sustainability and low-carbon construction practices
