Energy Storage System Integration Engineer

Client: A leading developer of battery energy storage solutions for commercial and industrial clients in Dubai.

Location: Dubai, UAE

Salary: AED 250,000 - AED 400,000 per annum + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Design and engineer the integration of battery energy storage systems (BESS) for commercial and industrial buildings in Dubai, considering local grid codes and regulations.
• Develop system specifications and schematics for BESS projects, ensuring compatibility with Dubai's electricity infrastructure.
• Conduct technical due diligence and feasibility studies, evaluating the economic viability of energy storage solutions in Dubai's market.
• Collaborate with local contractors and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery and adherence to local standards.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in battery technologies and energy storage systems relevant to Dubai's climate and energy goals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in energy storage system design and integration, with experience in the Middle East region preferred.
• Strong knowledge of battery technologies suitable for high-temperature environments and grid connection requirements in Dubai.
• Experience with DEWA (Dubai Electricity and Water Authority) regulations and grid interconnection procedures.
• Familiarity with energy management systems (EMS) and SCADA systems, with experience in integrating these with BESS
